Our client, a well regarded Intellectual Property (IP) Law firm, are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join their growing team and firm.


The role will report into a very friendly HR Director, who is seeking someone to run the day-to-day HR function and team.

The HR Director is looking for a strong Senior HR Generalist and is very open to someone coming into the organisation with ideas and thoughts on process improvement. There are multiple projects ongoing in this growing company and it's an exciting time to join them.



Key responsibilities for the HR Manager will include:

  • Management and development of 2 HR Administrators.
  • Managing employee relations, including absences, grievances whilst advising senior staff on all people issues.
  • Driving process improvement and looking at new ideas of how the function can be better.
  • Working closely with the Head of HR on numerous HR projects, such as: new LMS system, new onboarding system, Wellbeing initiatives and more.
  • Recruitment – managing the full recruitment cycle, liaising with specific agencies, assisting partners in identifying new hiring requirements, attending interviews and evaluating candidates with hiring managers.
  • L&D – looking at process improvement, including plan for staff, performance management, appraisals, coaching etc.
  • Reviewing and updating policies and procedures.



The HR Manager MUST have experience of working either in a Law Firm or similar professional service, working in a "partnership" environment.


The right candidate will need to be an extremely well rounded, self-sufficient and ideally have CIPD Qualification. It is essential to possess strong relationship building skills whilst working with a diverse workforce. Experience with engagement and management of Senior Stakeholders will be beneficial along with the ability to prioritise and manage projects within deadlines. The HR Manager will be a proven leader, professional and be able to take their own initiative.
