My client is a leading international law firm looking for a positive and approachable Graduate Development Advisor/Early Careers Development Advisor to join their busy London offices on a permanent basis.


This role could suit an experienced Assistant level individual looking to step up into Advisory position, or someone currently in a Generalist HR role, looking to move into Early Careers/Graduate Development


The key duties will include:


  • Managing seat rotations of trainees process to meet the firm’s resourcing needs while balancing trainee preferences
  • Moderating and reviewing trainee seat reviews to monitor performance
  • Managing the secondment process and reviewing all secondment terms for international and client secondments
  • Work with Trainee Recruitment, Learning & Development, Global Mobility and Business Development to proactively manage the trainee lifecycle
  • Dealing with any Employee Relations issues that might arise before the trainee starts e.g. (ill-health, bereavement, personal issues) that may impact on their performance and wellbeing
  • Managing and assisting with Employee Relations cases including but not exclusive to, health and wellbeing, absence and performance management 


The Graduate Development/Early Careers Advisor will ideally have 2-3 years previous Graduate Development or Generalist HR experience in a professional services organisation/law firm in a similar role. It will be essential to demonstrate strong administrative experience whilst managing high volumes of processes with high proficiency in strong IT skills including Excel and PowerPoint. The right candidate will have some project management experience, effective presentation skills and be a strong communicator with the ability to influence and challenge situations when needed. The Graduate Recruitment Advisor will be a flexible professional with a can-do approach who works well under pressure and is an enthusiastic team-player.
