Our client, a well regarded Intellectual Property (IP) Law firm, are seeking an Early Careers Manager (Graduate Recruitment & Development) to join their growing HR team and firm.


This is a brand new role and first of it's kind in the firm, that are looking to develop their offering for Graduates into the organisation.


This Early Careers Manager will report into a very friendly HR Director, who is seeking someone to truly own this role and help grow the function to the next level!



Key responsibilities for the Early Careers Manager will include:

  • Overall responsibility for the strategic and operational aspects for the firms Graduate Recruitment and Development function for Trainee Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys.
  • Overseeing, implementing and developing the Graduate Recruitment strategy to ensure the firm attracts and recruits the best talent and is keeping up to date with market trends.
  • Organising the firm’s open days, vacation schemes and assessment centres
  • Attending Graduate job fairs and developing relationships with universities careers departments.
  • Overseeing the preparation of offer letter and contracts for trainees.
  • Overall responsibility of Graduate Trainees development within the organisation once they join.
  • Utilising firms current and new technology to attract and track Graduates.




The Early Careers Manager MUST have experience of working either in a Law Firm or similar professional service, working in a "partnership" environment.


The right candidate will need to possess extensive knowledge and experience of Graduate Recruitment and Development and be comfortable working on their own accord to develop the function.


It is essential to possess strong relationship building skills whilst working with a diverse workforce. Experience with engagement and management of Senior Stakeholders will be beneficial along with the ability to prioritise and manage projects within deadlines.
