My name is Reece and I am a Legal Finance Recruitment Consultant for Career Legal.
I hail from Surrey, went to college and did my A levels in law and history. I previously worked in HR Recruitment on an apprentice contract for the Football Association at Wembley Stadium, which began my journey into the world of recruitment.
I’ve been with Career Legal for 14 months now. When I first applied for the Recruitment Assistant position I went through a two-stage interview process, one with two company Directors and the second with a Senior Consultant who then offered me the role two hours later.
Coming from a HR background, Career Legal was a very different environment to what I’d been used to. I went from working on the client side to the agency. The first couple of months were tough but I’ve long since settled in with the help of my team who were welcoming and really easy to speak to from the get-go. The team have helped me gain a lot of experience and confidence along the way.
Last month I was given a promotion to Recruitment Consultant. My initial role involved resourcing, meeting and screening candidates, styling CV’s and admin for the team. The new role involves extra responsibilities including developing clients, working on roles myself, submitting candidates I find and seeing them through the whole recruitment process. I really enjoy my role and am so grateful to the team for giving me the opportunity that has allowed me to make a real impact.
My team, which consists of Zowie, Legal Finance Director, Dan, Senior Consultant, and I are extremely hard working and I’m lucky to have such a supportive team who have believed in me from day one.
