Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Litigation team. This role offers the chance to lead on complex cases, manage junior staff, and contribute to the growth of the business in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Role Overview: As a Senior Litigation Associate, you will be responsible for handling a full range of litigation services with minimal supervision, ensuring top-quality service for the firm’s clients. You will work closely with the Partners, taking a lead on key assignments, supervising junior legal assistants, and helping to implement business development strategies. This position provides significant client exposure and offers a pathway for leadership within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate client work delegated by Partners, including case preparation, drafting, research, and court representation.
- Deliver high-quality, timely, and professional services to clients.
- Meet target hours, manage billings, and oversee client accounts.
- Mentor and support junior team members, ensuring professional growth and motivation.
- Assist in business development, both within the local market and across the firm’s global jurisdictions.
- Promote the development of the litigation practice through strategic initiatives and client relationship building.
- Ensure compliance with all firm policies, procedures, and risk management strategies.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years PQE (Post Qualification Experience) with a qualification in Jersey, the UK, or a Commonwealth jurisdiction.
- Significant experience in litigation with a strong technical background.
- Some experience in delegation, supervision, and business development.
- Excellent drafting, research, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- A client-focused approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
