We are working with well recognised US-based law firm renowned for our expertise in private equity and private investment funds. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join the London team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business development within the legal sector, particularly focusing on private equity and private investment funds. This role is pivotal in driving the firm's growth and maintaining our market-leading position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to expand our client base and enhance market presence in the private equity and private investment funds sectors.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with partners, attorneys, and the marketing team to align business development initiatives with the firm's overall objectives and practice area goals.
  • Proposal Management: Lead the development of compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to secure new business and reinforce the firm's value proposition.
  • Networking: Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and seminars to enhance our visibility and build a robust network of industry contacts.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on business development activities, ensuring the achievement of set targets and continuous improvement of strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of business development experience within the legal sector, with a strong emphasis on private equity and private investment funds.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Law, or a related field. An advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
