My client, a global law firm, is actively recruiting for someone with a minimum of SIX months Risk & Compliance experience to join them on a permanent basis in their Piraeus (Athens) office – working as their new Risk & Compliance Officer.
This opportunity will allow the successful candidate to support the Piraeus office on all aspects of risk, regulatory compliance and conflicts.
As the successful Risk & Compliance Officer, you’ll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Assisting in on-boarding new clients and matters, ensuring details are in accordance with firm policies and procedures
- Conducting client due diligence (CDD)
- Undertaking Anti-Monday Laundering (AML) and sanction searches on clients
- Reviewing Know Your Client (KYC) documentation
- Reviewing any changes to the client(s) which could impact client or/and matter risk
- Reviewing firm policies and procedures, ensuring they’re kept up-to-date
- Assisting in the production of spreadsheets to monitor the inception process
To be considered for this opportunity as the firms newest Risk & Compliance Officer, you’ll need to be/have the following:
- Have a minimum of SIX months experience working within LEGAL Risk & Compliance, ideally with AML experience
- Be degree educated (ideally law degree or equivalent/GDL)
- Be able to relocate (with correct documentation) or be in a commutable distance to Piraeus/Athens (this firm will not be offering sponsorship/VISAs)
