The Brief:

My client is currently looking to recruit Scottish qualified property lawyers with 4+ years PQE to join their top-ranked team in Scotland, with positions available in the Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and Glasgow offices.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide variety of commercial property transactions. You will start by working with high-profile investors both in the UK and internationally on prominent commercial developments in sectors such as office, logistics, retail, student accommodation, build-to-rent, and infrastructure. Real estate finance work and large-scale asset management are also areas of interest. While experience in all these sectors is not required, a keen interest and eagerness to learn are essential.

You will be part of transactional teams supporting clients with their real estate requirements across the UK, working alongside colleagues from other offices and benefiting from our internal legal professional support network and our advanced delivery team. There may also be opportunities for dual qualification in the future to expand your interest into English property.

About the Team:

You will be joining a team of over 40 fee earners in Scotland, listed as Tier 1 in Legal 500 and Chambers for Commercial Property.

By joining this team, you will be involved in transacting some of the best deals in the market, with on-hand support from experienced property lawyers dedicated to delivering successful transactions for clients. The team provides tailored training and support, ensuring opportunities for career and skills development.

The work encompasses high-end investment and occupier deals for prominent UK and international corporates. There will be opportunities to work on retail investments, urban regeneration schemes, strategic developments, property finance, and various other major projects.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in a large regional or national practice and understand the required levels of service delivery. They should have a strong academic background and an outgoing personality.

The role requires a lawyer who is technically excellent, commercially aware, and enthusiastic about business development. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong client-focused approach, eager to support the Property Team across the full spectrum of their work.

  • Receive first-class training and career development opportunities
  • Engage in a wide variety of transactions for major clients
  • Be part of a team focused on developing strong client relationships, both within Scotland and internationally
