The Role
As an Associate, you will work on high-profile projects, assisting clients with procurement strategies, contract negotiation, and risk management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on non-contentious construction law, including drafting and negotiating standard form and bespoke construction contracts.
- Working with JCT, NEC, and EPC contracts, ensuring compliance with market norms and client needs.
- Conducting large-scale due diligence exercises and advising on development agreements.
- Providing strategic guidance on risk mitigation in live projects, helping to prevent disputes and insolvencies.
- Supporting clients in commercial and housing development projects, collaborating with key stakeholders in the sector.
The Candidate
- 0-3 PQE with prior experience in construction law or housing development.
- Strong understanding of standard form contracts (JCT, NEC, EPC) and their amendments.
- Ability to manage complex agreements and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach.
