The Opportunity:
An esteemed and well-regarded law firm with a rich history of providing high-quality legal services is seeking an experienced Private Client Senior Associate to lead their Private Client Department. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned lawyer to take charge of the department, offering both leadership and legal expertise in the areas of wills, probate, trusts, legacy, and power of attorney.
The firm is seeking someone with significant experience to manage and expand the private client offering. The role involves overseeing a team of probate executives and support staff while taking responsibility for business development and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Private Client Department, overseeing wills, probate, legacy, trusts, and power of attorney matters.
- Supervise and provide guidance to two probate executives and three support staff.
- Handle a diverse caseload of complex high-net-worth estates, inheritance tax planning, and contentious probate matters.
- Drive business development efforts to enhance the department’s market share and strengthen client relationships.
- Act as the main point of contact for key clients and provide expert advice across a broad range of private client matters.
- Work closely with the firm’s litigation partner and other departments on cross-departmental cases.
- Contribute to strategic planning for department growth and development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 8 years’ PQE in Private Client work.
- Strong technical expertise in wills, probate, trusts, legacy, and estate planning.
- Leadership experience in managing teams and handling senior-level responsibilities.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, with a focus on business development.
- Ability to work strategically and autonomously in growing and developing a department.
