Our client is an international law firm with 21 offices across the globe and currently has over 1000 staff. The firm has won many awards over the years including International Law Firm of the Year. 

They have an excellent benefits package that includes the following; 25 days holiday, subsidised restaurant, generous pension, enhanced maternity & paternity pay and corporate sports club rates. 

They are now looking to recruit a Pricing Manger. The successful candidate will have previous pricing experience and be looking to step up into a managerial position.

Responsibilities

  • You will be the primary point of contact for pricing within the region. Provide analytical pricing support to senior stakeholders and management designed to drive the right behaviours that enhance profitability.
  • Assist in streamlining the annual rates setting process, including streamlining of office specific rates and review of all client specific rates.
  • Take ownership of large/complex client RFP and pricing requests and work closely with partners, colleagues in BD and with clients to coordinate related decision making.
  • Communicate with the business to discuss pricing strategies, brainstorm creative fee proposals, facilitate effective rate management and implement, and optimise efficiencies.
  • Adapt the global pricing strategy to regional market conditions and norms
  • Prepare robust models and templates to support analysis of a wide range of fee proposals utilising Firm financial metrics.
  • Support wider projects and initiatives led by the wider pricing team designed to enhance financial performance and improve profitability (e.g. cost rate analysis).
  • Implement a process for post matter reviews.
  • Work alongside the financial systems team to develop reporting capability in Power BI
  • Upskill the pricing ability of finance managers, pricing analysts and senior lawyers within the region.

Candidate Profile

  • An accounting qualification (e.g. ACMA, ACCA, etc.) preferred but not essential.
  • Advance knowledge of MS-Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel are required
  • Experience working within a law firm.
  • Exposure to pricing decisions and fee negotiation a plus.
  • Strong analytical, evaluative and critical thinking skills.
  • Some staff supervision experience is preferred.
