My client, a top UK law firm, is actively seeking an experienced Paralegal to join them on a permanent basis in their Birmingham office – working as their new Post-Exchange Paralegal.
This Paralegal opportunity sits within their wider Real Estate team who provide legal services to a broad range of clients across England & Wales. Working closely with a team of Partners and Associates, you’ll be part of their Post-Exchange team – playing an essential part in a significant number of transactions from the points of exchange, through to completion.
As the successful Post-Exchange Paralegal, you’ll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Assisting with the day-to-day supervision of the Paralegals and Trainees within the Post-Exchange team
- Preparing and approving transfer deeds and leases
- Dealing with execution and completion
- Reviewing replies to pre-completion requisitions
- Preparing and submitting SDLT returns
- Preparing AP1 applications and dealing with any Land Registry Requisitions that may come up
- Assisting the team in dealing with day-to-day queries
- Supporting other Fee-Earners across the firm in relation to Post-Exchange matters and processes
To be considered for this Paralegal opportunity, you’ll need to have/be the following:
- Have a minimum of THREE years’ experience working as a Paralegal
- Have a minimum of ONE years’ experience working in a Residential Property OR Plot Sales role)
- Have experience in acting as a Senior Paralegal/Senior member of a team
- Be degree educated (minimum 2:1 LLB or equivalent
- Be able to commute to the Birmingham office at least 3 days a week
- Be familiar with Registered Providers (desirable, not essential)
