A global law firm is seeking an experienced Pitch Manager to lead their end-to-end best practice panel pitch process. This role will involve delivering high-quality, client-focused panel pitches, driving pitching infrastructure, and acting as a key stakeholder in embedding pitching automation tools and systems across the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the firm’s end-to-end best practice panel pitch process.
  • Deliver high-quality, client-focused panel pitches at both document and presentation stages.
  • Drive pitching infrastructure, systems, and behaviours. 
  • Scope opportunities effectively and influence senior stakeholders through best practice processes.
  • Conduct relevant client research, both internal and external.
  • Develop tailored win strategies and persuasive value propositions for each pitch.
  • Manage the pitch response process, ensuring timely and client-focused submissions.
  • Engage and manage contributions from pricing, compliance, knowledge, BD, and CRM functions.
  • Coach pitch teams to improve performance, including preparing presentation materials and conducting rehearsals.
  • Ensure diversity considerations in pitch teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date standard content in QorusDocs, aligned with the firm’s key messages.
  • Record pitch outcomes and update panel information for accurate reporting.
  • Proactively track forthcoming panel pitch opportunities and mobilise client teams accordingly.
  • Train BD teams on proposal processes to share best practices and ensure consistency.
  • Conduct pitch debriefs to capture lessons learned and disseminate information.
  • Act as engagement manager for onboarding new panels where there is no CRM.
  • Drive continuous improvement of our pitching infrastructure, systems, and behaviours.
  • Stay updated on market best practices and developments in proposals management.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Proven experience in leading complex pitching opportunities in a global professional services environment.
  • Ability to build relationships and liaise confidently with individuals at all levels.
  • Agile approach to workload and flexibility to meet demands of an international law firm.
  • Experience in liaising with client procurement teams.
  • Sales-focused mindset with a strong desire to win profitable work.
  • Persuasive and diplomatic, with the ability to challenge constructively.
  • Self-sufficient yet able to leverage internal networks as needed.
  • Creative, with a willingness to consider innovative approaches.
  • Expertise in coaching partners and associates to adopt a client-centric perspective.
  • Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
