About the Firm:
A well-established and award-winning London-based law firm is seeking an experienced Housing Solicitor or Caseworker to join its reputable Housing Legal Aid Team. The firm is known for its expertise in housing law and has been involved in several landmark decisions at the House of Lords, Supreme Court, and Court of Appeal.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload involving homelessness, possession, injunction, committal proceedings, disrepair, and unlawful eviction.
- Handling leaseholder disputes and Rent Repayment Disputes.
- Conducting time recording and ensuring files comply with SQM requirements.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in handling housing-related casework.
- Strong understanding of the legal aid system and a commitment to providing access to justice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with vulnerable clients with empathy and professionalism.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
