We are working with a top US Law firm in London in their search for a Events Manager for a 9-month maternity cover starting in mid-September. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organising, and executing a variety of events, from small meetings to large conferences, ensuring they align with our firm’s high standards and objectives. You will also have support of a specialist in the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute internal and external events, including conferences, seminars, workshops, client receptions, and social gatherings.
- Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and accommodation arrangements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of events.
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Handle event marketing and communications, including invitations, promotional materials, and post-event follow-ups.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure all events comply with health and safety regulations and firm policies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Events Manager or high performing specialist, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in event management software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of the legal industry and its unique event requirements.
- Experience working within a multinational or US-based organisation.
