Team Overview:

The Global Labour and Employment team provides comprehensive support on employment-related matters across multiple jurisdictions. The team works with employers to navigate complex disputes, manage employment law issues in cross-border transactions, and advise on policies to minimise risks. Recognised for its excellence, their UK Employment team is involved in high-profile cases and advisory work, focusing on delivering effective solutions to employers globally.

Role Overview:  

The firm is seeking a mid-level associate (5-7 PQE) to join its Employment Law team in London on a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC). The successful candidate will support clients on a range of employment law matters, focusing on advisory, transactional, and contentious work, while managing responsibilities independently.

Key Responsibilities:

- Managing employment tribunal claims and investigations independently  

- Providing specialist employment support on corporate transactions, including due diligence  

- Drafting and advising on contracts of employment and post-termination restrictions  

- Advising on TUPE, collective redundancies, and SMCR-related issues  

- Reviewing and drafting employee handbooks, policies, and LLP-related documents  

Skills and Attributes:

- 5-7 years PQE, admitted to practice in England and Wales  

- Strong academic background with experience in a top-tier law firm  

- Excellent communication and analytical skills  

- Ability to manage projects with limited supervision
