My client, a Magic Circle law firm, is actively recruiting for a bright, enthusiastic and experienced Risk & Compliance professional to join them on a permanent basis in their London office – working as their new Compliance Officer.
This department is headed up by their General Counsel and consists of Compliance Lawyers and the wider Compliance team. The successful Compliance Officer will provide support, training and assistance across the firm – in relation to their Business Acceptance policies and procedures.
As the successful Compliance Officer, you’ll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Running and sending conflicts searches for Fee-Earners
- Conducting client screening, sanction screening and EDD
- Ensuring all new matters and clients comply with the firm’s AML and CDD policies and procedures
- Reviewing and verifying client and matter records via Intapp
- Dealing with regular enquiries by internal staff
- Sending the firm’s Terms and Conditions of Business to new clients when necessary

To be considered for this new Compliance Officer position, you’ll need to have/be the following:
- Have a minimum of 18 months experience in LEGAL Risk & Compliance
- Have experience using compliance systems (eg – Intapp)
- Be degree educated
- Be able to commute to the London office 3 or 4 times a week
