My client, a top off-shore law firm, is actively recruiting an experienced and senior Risk & Compliance professional to join them on a permanent basis in their Cayman Islands office – working as their new Compliance Manager.
Reporting into the Senior Compliance Manager, this opportunity will require you to be involved in the implementation and oversight of their compliance framework in the Cayman Islands.
As the successful Compliance Manager, you’ll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Assisting the Head of Risk & Compliance with the management of a team of support staff
- Assisting with updating the firms’ policies and procedures manual
- Providing training to Fee-Earners and relevant members of staff at the firm
- Monitoring all regulatory developments and providing advice to the Head of Risk & Compliance and senior management
- Implementing and overseeing the AM and broader compliance programme
- Advising on appropriateness of the client relationship and advising on general governance matters

To be considered for this opportunity as their new Compliance Manager, you’ll need to have/be the following:
- Have previous/existing experience at a top law firm or one of the ‘Big 4’, at a senior level (management, ideally)
- Be experienced in ‘cross-border’ projects
- Be from a regulatory background (Compliance, Internal Audits, Consulting)
This opportunity will be suitable for those who are already living and/or working in the Cayman Islands, however, potential work permits can be offered for those who are open to relocation.
