Job Title: Commercial Real Estate Associate/Senior Associate (3-6 PQE)  

Location: London (Hybrid - 2-3 days in the office)  

Contract: Full-time, Permanent  

A leading law firm is seeking a skilled and commercially-minded Commercial Real Estate Associate/Senior Associate to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) and a strong background in acting for institutions and developers. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile acquisitions and development projects with a particular focus on the industrial and logistics sectors.

The Role:  

The successful candidate will be part of a highly regarded team working with top-tier clients on complex real estate transactions. You will be required to manage a varied caseload, with responsibilities including landlord and tenant matters, pre-lets, and development work. The role will also involve advising on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters across the asset lifecycle and supervising junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities:  

- Handling landlord and tenant matters, with experience in pre-lets.  

- Managing development projects, including dealing with planning, construction, and advising on constraints.  

- Providing commercially aware solutions to practical issues that arise in development work.  

- Advising on ESG applications across the life cycle of real estate assets.  

- Acting for high-profile clients, particularly in the industrial and logistics sectors.  

- Supervising and supporting junior lawyers.  

- Attending the firm’s London office 2-3 days per week (with flexibility for remote working after the first 4 weeks of onboarding).  

Key Requirements:  

- 3-6 years PQE as a solicitor with relevant experience in commercial real estate law.  

- Proven experience in acting for institutions and developers.  

- Competence in handling landlord and tenant matters and pre-lets.  

- Experience in real estate development, with an understanding of planning, construction, and the ability to advise on constraints.  

- Strong knowledge of ESG and its implications in real estate.  

- Experience supervising junior team members.  

- Experience in the industrial and logistics sectors is preferred.  

- A proactive, commercially-minded approach to resolving complex legal issues.
