Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Contracts Paralegal on behalf of our client. In this role, you will support the firm’s commercial contracts team, assisting in drafting, reviewing, and managing a broad array of contracts and agreements across international jurisdictions. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive paralegal with a strong background in commercial law who is looking to expand their experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and other commercial arrangements.
- Conduct legal research on contract law and other relevant areas, staying informed of any regulatory changes impacting the firm and its clients.
- Provide support to lawyers in the preparation and management of contract documentation, ensuring compliance with the firm’s risk management protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with internal teams, including finance, procurement, and operations, to facilitate contract management and ensure seamless coordination throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Maintain and update the firm’s repository of standard contract templates, clauses, and legal precedents.
- Conduct due diligence and risk assessments for new and existing contracts, identifying and flagging potential risks.
- Support on larger, cross-border matters by coordinating and managing contract documentation and communication between international offices.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in commercial contracts or a similar role, preferably within a law firm or corporate in-house legal team.
- Strong knowledge of commercial contract law, with the ability to conduct detailed reviews and flag key legal and compliance issues.
- Excellent organisational skills with a proactive and meticulous approach to handling multiple matters and prioritising workload.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-service mindset and the ability to work collaboratively with team members at all levels.
- Proficient in using contract management software and MS Office Suite.
