Role Overview:
The firm are seeking a mid-level Associate with extensive UK and EU competition law experience to join our Group Actions and Competition team. You will advise on non-contentious matters, including merger control, cartel investigations, and competition compliance, while playing a key role in business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice on merger control, foreign direct investment rules, and competition investigations
- Draft competition documentation, including pre-action advice and compliance materials
- Conduct legal research and assist in preparing legal articles
- Develop and maintain client relationships, contributing to business development
- Attend client seminars and profile-raising events
Skills and Qualifications:
- 4-6 years PQE in UK and EU competition law
- Experience with merger control, cartel investigations, and competition compliance
- Knowledge of state aid, subsidy control, and consumer protection cases preferred
- Strong drafting and communication skills, with an interest in business development
