I'm a Director at Career Legal and lead the HR recruitment team, but first and foremost I am a proud mum of my two sons who happen to be neurodiverse. Like all parents in my position, I have become a specialist in their diagnosis to understand and support them and ensure they are living their best lives. In my quest for knowledge, I have naturally engaged with the wider subjects of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. In my professional capacity, I have met some exceptional individuals who have faced and overcome extraordinary challenges. These trailblazers gave me the time, inspiration, and confidence to create a platform so that my clients, HR Managers, and D&I professionals, could learn from their stories through seminars and blogs which in turn inspires them to introduce ED&I into their firms. As a result, we have now built a tremendous community of people who continue to inspire and work towards equality for all in everyday life and the workplace.
Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
We are committed to you
The whole of you – the true definition of you.
Our ED&I statement
We embrace diversity and equality wholeheartedly. We’ve worked hard to create a community of different backgrounds skills and views. The more inclusive we are the better we are, individually and collectively. It characterises everything we do and certainly to the benefit of our clients and candidates.
ED&I at Career Legal
We’re proud of our inclusive environment, a community that brings a multitude of perspectives and experiences to the company. We appreciate the differences and continue to gain a deeper understanding. We continue educating ourselves, understanding and addressing ED&I across our company. We implement a range of practices such as internal and external awareness training sessions and events, client seminars, monitoring diversity statistics, and wellbeing surveys. We continue to work with partnering charities providing mentoring work experience schemes, CV workshops, and continue to keep up to date with current affairs.
Neurodiversity in the Workplace event
Career Legal and DVF Recruitment proudly hosted our 2023 EDI event the "Neurodiversity in the Workplace" seminar held on November 14th, 2023, at our offices. We were delighted to host HR professionals from the legal sector, inviting them to engage with our guest speakers who shared compelling insights into neurodiversity, drawing from their personal journeys and professional experiences.
Centred around ADHD, Dyspraxia, and Autism, the seminar provided a comprehensive exploration of these neurodiverse experiences, offering valuable perspectives from both personal narratives and professional insights.
Our lineup of speakers featured Anna Csépányi, Jemma Taylor, Cheryl Kearney, and Robert Lamb, representing Sycamore Trust UK, alongside Harriet Ratcliffe from Fladgate. Following the thought-provoking discussions, attendees had the opportunity to network and exchange experiences.
